Members of the Armenian community in Jerusalem commemorate the anniversary of mass killings of Armenians in Ottoman Empire in 1915, in the Armenian Church of St. James in Jerusalem's Old City April 24, 2012. About 1.5 million Christian Armenians were killed during World War One in a deliberate policy of genocide ordered by the Ottoman government.

Good Friday in Jerusalem

Orthodox Christian pilgrims take part in the Good Friday procession through the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre ahead of Orthodox Easter, on April 13, 2012 in Jerusalem's old city. Orthodox christians are celebrating Easter a week after Roman Catholics as dictated by the Julian calendar. Pilgrims are taking part in processions along the route that Jesus is believed to have taken in his last days as he carried the cross.
