Los enemigos de Israel - The enemies of Israel

Today as I was waiting to cover a demo against Obama's visit in the checkpoint to Shuada St. when I saw a "big operation" to release around 15 children who were arrested early in the morning on the way to the school. According to reports around 25 children were detained in the school.

"I Have a dream"

Protesters wearing t-shirts with “I Have A Dream” arrested for walking on Shuhada Street in Hebron.

Twenty-five Palestinian, Israeli and international protesters walked down Shuhada Street in Hebron, which is closed to all Palestinian movement. Six protesters were arrested and the others violently dispersed by the Israeli army.

Demonstraitors wore face masks of Martin Luther King Jr. and President Barak Obama, with t-shirts stating “I Have A Dream” to call for an end to segregation and the occupation.

The protest was our response to Obama’s visit and to remind him that without the struggle for equality in the U.S., the dream of having a black president would not have been realized.
